Whether you’re getting uniform tees for the workplace, matching t-shirts for a school trip or funny shirts for a family reunion, there’s a lot to consider and a lot of cooks in the kitchen.<\/p>\n

Here’s a few tips for ordering custom printed t-shirts<\/a><\/strong><\/span> from Artik for your group.<\/p>\n

Start with\u00a0a Great Design for your Shirts<\/strong><\/p>\n

We in the shop do hundreds of designs a month, only a few stand out as truly great and some t-shirt designs are not so great. If you make a great design, your group\u00a0will keep your t-shirts and continue wearing them for years to come!<\/p>\n

Since you\u2019re spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on these custom tees, take the time to get a great design.\u00a0Put a\u00a0hundred dollars into a design competition website like designcrowd.com<\/a>\u00a0or 99designs.com<\/a>\u00a0and you’ll have some stunning design options. It\u00a0may hurt your graphic design friend\u2019s feelings, but it\u2019s ok to spend money on a truly great design.<\/p>\n

Choosing T-Shirt Sizes<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pass around a sheet so your group can decide what size t-shirts they want to wear. From XXS to 4XL, we have t-shirt options that will fit anyone\u00a0comfortable.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re buying for a big group, there will always be people who think they fit large, but they really fit XL. Often people will request a\u00a0small tee, but reach for a medium when the box arrives. Everyone wants to be comfortable and a loose shirt can be more comfy than a well-fitted one.<\/p>\n

That’s why we recommend getting some extra t-shirts of different sizes for your event group. Skew these shirts a bit larger\u00a0and everyone will be happy!<\/p>\n

Choosing Custom T-Shirt Colours<\/strong><\/p>\n

Getting wacky with colours can be fun, but black tees are always safe. Black shirts look cool and\u00a0most people are happy to wear them.<\/p>\n

Consider the colour of your screenprint and how it will look on the custom printed t-shirts. White text looks great on red but maybe not yellow. Make alternate colour options to mix it up<\/p>\n

If you’re travelling with a group or with students, a purple or orange shirt can stand out, allowing your people to stick together.<\/p>\n

If you’re printing tees for a business uniform or promotional event, you may want to design the shirt to match your brand.<\/p>\n

Don’t feel to stuck with your current branding though! You can play with your logo for a fun event day \u2013 look at Google with their ever changing logo. Play with your logo and have fun with colours.<\/p>\n

It’s good to get some opinions from the group. Just because you like a colour doesn\u2019t mean the whole group will! At Artik we were going to put a brown floor in our office but the young staff wanted grey and we agree it looks more modern! Get opinions and make an awesome design!<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re buying a lot of different products, the oranges will look slightly different, but the black shirts will look the same as black hats and black bandanas. The more basic colours and shades will match better between products.<\/p>\n
